Children Bible Schools (CBS)

India, with 1.1 billion people has 45% of them children below the age of 16. This posed IBL to focus on reaching the young population of India. CBS, aims at ministering to millions of children with simple teaching curriculum in five age groups between 3-8:

Beginners
Primary
Junior
Intermediate
Senior

The books and teaching aids are published in all the major Indian languages.
The summer sessions of CBS will have 10 days of classes with a variety of programmes.

Training Children Teachers

IBL conducts Leadership training programmes all over India for all those involved in teaching Christian doctrine to Children such as Sunday School Leaders/Superintendents, Child Evangelists, and Pastors from all major denominational and independent churches. The teachers training subjects include: Role of a Teacher, Child Psychology, Methods of Teaching, Discipline, Needs of Children, Biblical Basis on Children, and How to lead Children to Christ. Participants of these trainings testify the training's effectiveness.

Every year over 2,000 leaders are trained to adopt the theme chosen for that year and they in turn train 20,000 teachers. Average attendance of children every year is 500,000.During the period of 1993 to 2009, the CBS has reached 12.5 million children. While the children attend the CBS classes for 10 days during summer holidays, the parents observe the behavioral changes in their children. Many children bring lead their parents to the final day cultural programme and eventually, many families have been spiritually transformed through the CBS programme.

Children's Bible School (CBS) books are produced every year to be used in CBS during summer. These include teacher's guides, student lessons, and workbooks for four different grades. Audio CDs and Video CDs with action songs produced are also available.
